Visiting College Students Volunteer for Habitat for Humanity in Walton County

While many students will be enjoying relaxation and fun on our white sandy beaches and other spring break hot spots, Habitat for Humanity of Walton County, FL proudly welcomes their college spring breakers or as they call them, volunteers. With a well deserved break from classes and the stresses of college life, four campuses from across the United States are bringing students to our area to volunteer their time and efforts to support our local community and Habitat's great cause.

30A Wine Festival Weekend in Alys Beach March 10-13

The 30A Wine Festival returns to the beautiful surroundings of Alys Beach March 10-13. Now in its fifth year, the four-day Festival features a bourbon and barbeque tasting, wine tasting seminars, grand tasting event, and a croquet tournament. The celebration of wine and cuisine takes place each spring in South Walton, Florida to benefit Children's Volunteer Health Network (CVHN).
 

Spring 2016 Eco-Adventures Showcase Walton County’s Natural Resources

The Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance (CBA) and Northwest Florida State College (NFSC) announces the 2016 spring season of its eco-tourism initiative, Discover Roads Less Traveled: Eco-Adventures of Walton County. The perfect time of year to get outdoors and experience nature-based tours in South Walton and the surrounding area led by local experts and naturalists.

Celebrating the 14th Annual Seaside Half Marathon & 5K Feb 26-28

The Seaside School Half Marathon and 5K Race, presented by Vera Bradley, is coming up on Sunday, Feb. 28, along with some incredible parties and expos leading up to race day. This is one of the most anticipated weekends of the year in South Walton, Florida. For the 14th year we celebrate this out-and-back, fast and mostly flat course where runners from all over the US pass quaint beach towns, dune lakes, and the world's most beautiful beaches. All proceeds benefit the Seaside School Foundation.
