The Merchants of Seaside are proud to present a fantastic, family-friendly New Year’s Eve celebration in the twinkling, holiday town of Seaside. On Thurs., Dec. 31, the 6th Annual Countdown Seaside activities will welcome in 2016 with live entertainment, kid’s art projects, street performers and fireworks over the Gulf of Mexico.
Some of the best American Roots musicians touring the country today will play at Camp Helen’s Americana Music Concerts this winter. The third annual concert series is going down in the Lodge every other Saturday from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The lineup has a thing for harmony and picking and belting out that lonesome sound. Concert dates are:

Momentum is building for the highly anticipated New Year’s Eve Beach Ball Drop at Pier Park on Thursday, December 31 in Panama City Beach, Fla. Pier Park welcomes residents and visitors to one of the Southeast’s biggest New Year’s Eve celebrations featuring a giant glowing beach ball and dramatic fireworks over the Gulf of Mexico.
Chef Emeril Lagasse and Visit South Walton present Taste of the Race on Friday, Feb. 26, 2016 in Seaside, kicking off the Seaside School Half Marathon & 5K Race weekend! Taste of the Race will be held at the Seaside Lyceum under the big tent from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. The VIP reception with Chef Emeril Lagasse will take place from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Lala Galleries at 30Avenue for “An Evening of Art & Artists” on Saturday, December 12 from 4:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. The special holiday event will feature an array of works by visiting artists as well as a special appearance by recording artist Morgan James. Preparations for the 27th Annual Sandestin Gumbo Festival are underway. The Gumbo Cook-off will take place on President's Day Weekend in The Village of Baytowne Wharf on February 13th from 12-4pm. Bah Humbug! Emerald Coast Theatre Company (ECTC) will present the second annual performance of the holiday classic A Dickens Christmas at various venues along Northwest Florida’s Gulf coast throughout the month of December. Experience a unique adaptation of Charles Dickens’ famous story A Christmas Carol in this up close and intimate setting. Three talented professional actors seamlessly change from character to character as they bring to life the tale of Scrooge and his transformational night with three ghosts.
Epic recording artist Morgan James returns to the Sinfonia stage with her larger than life vocals to perform all of your holiday favorites with the orchestra, plus more, on Dec. 11 at 7:30 pm at Destiny Worship Center. This holiday performance is perfect for the entire family.
Shelter House will host a unique twilight run designed to shine the light on abuse in our community. The 5th Annual Luminaria Run to End Domestic & Sexual Violence will take place on Saturday, December 5 at 4:30 pm. Runners will start at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. in Destin and follow a course lined with more than 2,000 luminarias lighting their path.
It's the most wonderful time of year at The Village of Baytowne Wharf with a calendar filled with festive events starting now and throughout the month of December.
