After running hard all season I have to admit that Fall is not only easy, but downright enjoyable! I have cut back to one trip a day as there just isn't enough daylight anymore to run 2 trips and get all the tackle and boat "stuff" done by black dark.

Well, the weather has turned to Fall here at the beach the past couple days. I put my trip off this morning till 10 AM so it could warm up a little, 48 degrees at daylight this morning! The gulf temp was still 80 degrees yeserday but that will be changing quickly.
Our Fall Red Snapper season opened up Oct. 1st and we have had no trouble getting some great catches of the hard pulling tasty critters. Lots of other finny creatures too but the Snappers have been priorty 1!
Harbor Docks is hosting its 19th Annual Take-A-Kid-Fishing Day on Sunday, November 3, 2013, and has 350 openings for children and chaperones.
For the past 18 years, Harbor Docks has taken hundreds of underprivileged children out for a free day of fishing. The majority of these kids have never been out on the water. After an exciting day of fishing, Harbor Docks treats the families to a fish fry to celebrate. Last year 57 of Destin’s finest charter boats offered their services to take the children out for a fun day of fishing.
Got back from a week at Indian Pass so I can start Red Snapper fishing for a few weeks. My first trip over there was a scallop trip with some folks that wanted to get in on the last of the season (it closed the 24th of Sep). Two of my folks had been before and love it and the other couple had never been.
Just like the title says, we have been catching a little of everything fishy off Grayton lately. The weather has been fantastic up until today with warm temps, light winds and calm seas. Hurricane Ingrid, down in the bottom of the gulf and going into Mexico has caused a swell to make it all the way up here to the northern Gulf though.
Made it back from the 'Pass to Grayton/Seagrove yesterday afternoon and should have all the tackle and gear swapped over to start beach launch fishing again tomorrow. I wish I had lots of great Tarpon stories but since my last report we had pretty much nothing but rain. All that fresh water coming down the rivers and into the bay pretty much moved the Tarpons around the Cape and into saltier water. I did get a couple half day trips in where we did real good with the Triple Tails tho....
Still over here at Indian Pass and my anglers are having a big time chasing the Tripletails and Tarpons. On the hill today doing chores as I got stood up by my anglers. I called 'em up last night to confirm start time and answer any last-minute questions and they said "Oh yeah, we didn't come to Florida. I guess I should have called you".
I have been over at Indian Pass for a little over a week now for my annual Tarpon and Triple Tail trips. All the fresh water coming down the river from the floods of July cleared up right as I got here to let the target species turn on to gorge on the millions of pogies that call this place home in the summer.
