The judging is complete and the official results are in for our 2015 "You're So SoWal if..." contest!  Thank you to everyone who sent in entries to make this another great year from readers across the country. Beach lovers near and far know and love South Walton beaches!

This is the 5th year of our contest and every year we appreciate the creative, funny, and heartwarming entries. Thanks to everyone for sharing what SoWal means to you, especially our loyal SoWal Forum members.

Cafe Thirty-A Celebrates Food & Wine at Kokomo Dinner Nov 5

Cafe' Thirty-A in Seagrove Beach is celebrating wine and food this fall as they host Kokomo Winery at a special wine dinner in the Fishbone Room on Thursday, November 5 at 6:30 p.m. The dinner will feature Kokomo Winery owner and winemaker Erik Miller and his partner and grower, Randy Peters. Chef T has designed a menu to perfectly compliment the wines that will be poured that night. This will be an intimate setting with only 30-40 people maximum.  

Ride to Valhalla Victory Celebration at Big Daddy's Bike Shop Oct 30

Big Daddy's Bike Shop is thrilled to welcome Zack Garner and Adam Smith to South Walton this week. The Green Beret Adventure Team is cycling 4,600 miles across America on their Ride to Valhalla to raise awareness about traumatic brain injuries and post traumatic stress in our military. Our friends at Big Daddy's are planning a heck of a party which will take place at the Bike Shop in Blue Mountain Beach on Friday, Oct. 30 from 1 - 5 p.m.

Festival of the Arts at Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village Oct 24-25

Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation (MKAF) continues its 20th anniversary with the 20th annual Festival of the Arts Oct. 24-25, 2015 at the Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village in Destin, Fla. One of the Southeast’s premier festivals, the two-day signature features exhibits of more than 100 artists from 12 states (and one from Europe) showcasing a diverse palette of artistic styles and mediums.
