Rosemary Beach Foundation is honored to welcome John Hemingway to the Rosemary Beach Lecture Series. The event will take place at Rosemary Beach Town Hall Thursday, October 10 at 6:00 p.m. for a wine reception followed by a lecture and conversation with John Hemingway, and then a book signing. Tickets are available and priced at $100 for individual and $150 per couple. October in South Walton is the best month of the year! The weather is perfect, events are booming, and the beach is beautiful.

It's always a great party and it's for a great cause - raising funds every year for one of our favorite local organizations - Children's Volunteer Health Network (CVHN). They see to it that all children in our area receive needed medical and dental care.

This year we're so happy to have the party at SoWal.com partner Bud & Alley’s in Seaside.Our friends there will host the 9th Annual Hurricane Party on Friday, Sept. 27 from 7-10 p.m. with all proceeds benefiting CVHN. 

The inaugural Fore Her golf tournament is coming to Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort this Fall to raise funds to help local women battling breast cancer.

The event will take place October 26, 2013 at The Links at Sandestin. Check in begins at 11:00 am with a shotgun tee off at 12:00 pm. The day’s activities will include 18 holes of golf and a silent auction. All tournament participants will also receive a “swag bag” filled with gifts from event sponsors.

The first concert of the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra's 2013-2014 season is September 28 at 7:30 p.m. in the mainstage theater of the Mattie Kelly Fine & Performing Arts Center in Niceville. Tickets are on sale now for $22.50 each adults and $16 each for active duty
military or youth ages 18 and younger.

Café Thirty-A in Seagrove Beach will host an Evening with the Experts on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at 6 p.m. for Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast. Guest speakers Dr. Kornelis Poelstra and Dr. Charles Wingo, board-certified orthopedic spine surgeons, will discuss the hospital's new Spine Center and spine health.

A grand party is planned at Grand Boulevard at Sandestin to showcase the 2013 winners of the Best of the Emerald Coast by Emerald Coast Magazine. The Junior League of the Emerald Coast along with Emerald Coast Magazine have been busy preparing for the 13th annual event to celebrate winners on Saturday, October 19, from 6 - 9:30 p.m..

Join the race to find a cure for Parkinson's disease by running or sponsoring The 2013 Jim Del Mauro Rosemary Run coming up this Fall on October 12. Since 2004, Jim's 5k run through beautiful Rosemary Beach, Florida has been a community event for the whole family, raising thousands for Parkinson's Disease research.
