The trams go from West 30a to Grayton Beach, no further east. As I said earlier, having trams take people where it is hard to find parking would make sense, but the Commissioners want people to pay to park. Honestly, I would imagine it would take the trams at least 20-30 minutes just to pass through Seaside and the roads north of 30a through Seaside are not tram friendly. The county would have to have a tram running from east 30a to 395 and turn around. East 30 a needs trams far more than west 30a. Wait until they monetize the beach, that would be one helluva a fight, it's coming, you'll see.
How did you go from route planning to monetizing the beaches? What does that even mean? Paying to go onto a beach?

I have no problem with tourists paying for parking to fund trams they use. What's the beef?

Yes, monetizing means charging people who want to go to the beach.
As far as tram use, since the trams began running, I have seen one rider on the West Tram, that is it. The tram from the parking lot in Grayton to the Red Bar always has a few riders, but I haven't seen anyone take it to go to the beach.

It gets heavy use by people going to the beach at Grayton. When tourists are in town that is. The new routes just started but they'll catch on.

I misworded this? The Seaside lot just south of the bay, north of 30A. The one with nice air conditioning vans that go back & forth to Seaside. Are they still doing that? Or is it for employees only? Employees will get a really good cost on an annual pass now so they'll still be parking between Watercolor and Seaside? Ellen

The Seaside trolley is running as before. It is free for employees and the public. I believe employees are told to use the shuttle. Although I'm sure some park nearby and if on am early shift might get a spot on 30A.

Thank you. Might use that if we arrive too soon before 'our' rental is ready.
