That was our concern when we bought down here. We wanted to be in a neighborhood with covenants that limit rentals to a degree. I like to call us semi locals, as we still live out of state most of the time due to my husbands job. When we are here, we don't want Jim Bob one week next to us wreaking havoc and then the next week his cousin Rusty with 25 family members!

Built a beautiful gulf view home across the street from the beach a number of years back. Several surrounding homes were vacation rentals. It was aweful in season.
The final straw was when an adult man decided to pee in my back yard in the middle of the day.
The home was listed and sold in 2 weeks.

I pee in my yard all the time, but we also live close to the forest.
