Parking ticket in Seaside

Seaside will one day do away with all parking, except residential, according future ideas discussed in their recent Mobility/transportation conference. The idea is to have a walkable community where you would access it by public transportation or other means. We shall see.

jodiFL - I've been visiting 30-A for 30 years. They've done a good job of discouraging me. I'd rather have a root canal than visit the area these days!

I can relate to the root canal....had to deliver something to hubbys jobsite (in the BACK of Seaside) Thursday. Wasnt real sure I would make it out alive (or in handcuffs..). Seriously dont see the "vacation" part that attracts some of these people. I am going to a little place I found out about a few counties to the east of here. I am not naming it because it is THAT awesome. Right on the gulf, no vendors, less than $125 a day including meals...can wait to go visit...

LOL! So the old boat axiom of the two happiest days applies to Seaside, too?

The happiest day of my life was when I bought my place at Seaside. The second happiest day of my life was the day I sold my place at Seaside!

What is the percentage of renters vs homeowners that don't rent? I wouldn't want a place where it's constant renters each week.

I don't think I could handle the constant people, I'm always afraid I'm going to hit someone in my car or get hit!

BTDT
Built a beautiful gulf view home across the street from the beach a number of years back. Several surrounding homes were vacation rentals. It was aweful in season.
The final straw was when an adult man decided to pee in my back yard in the middle of the day.
The home was listed and sold in 2 weeks.
