If southern history and southern pride are so damned important where are the monuments to the over 4,000 black people lynched in the Jim Crow south. When BTW most of the monuments you hold dear were put in place to further terrorize the black population.

Lynching of Jesse Washington in Waco, Texas, on May 15, 1916. Was accused of assaulting a woman was repeatedly lowered and raised onto a fire while alive before being lynched. This happened the same day as the accusation.

Emmett Till before and after the lynching on August 28, 1955. He was a fourteen-year-old boy in Chicago who went to spend the summer with his uncle in Money, Mississippi, and was massacred by white men for supposedly whistling at a white woman. The accuser after sixty years says she fabricated the story.

I'm beyond sick of this moronic argument. Southern Democrats ‘Dixiecrats’ became Republicans with the signing of the Civil Rights Act. Every white supremacist/nationalist ,KKK, Nazi hate group in this country endorsed Donald Trump. The Republican party has spent fifty years pandering to southern racism.
