Fall is the season for celebrating food and wine in South Walton. Restaurant Paradis in Rosemary Beach embraces the season with a Clos Du Val wine dinner on Friday, November 7 at 6:30pm. The evening kicks off with cocktails at 6:30 p.m. followed by a four course dinner with wine pairings at 7pm.

Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast is offering free community education/support opportunities throughout October, including stroke and breast-cancer support groups, classes on joint replacement surgery and diabetes management, and seminars on financial matters and healthy living targeted to senior adults. The hospital also hosts a monthly blood drive by OneBlood, including wellness checks for participants.

The schedule for South Walton Fashion Week (SWFW) 2014 is set for the week in October when glamor comes to the beach. The week’s festivities include a launch party, runway shows and style lounge with exclusive pop-up shops. A blend of national and local designers, in addition to emerging designers and local boutiques will show on the runway Thursday, Oct. 9 through Saturday, Oct. 11 in the fashion village at Grand Boulevard in Sandestin.
