The Friends of Eden and Florida State Parks pay tribute to the Camellia Saturday, Feb.21 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Eden Gardens State Park in Point Washington. Visitors are invited to stroll through rows of camellias, observe a camellia floral arrangement demonstration, practice air layering - a camellia propagating technique, and get tips on camellia waxing for bloom preservation. Marie Harrison, author and master gardener, will facilitate a program on camellia care and offer tips on gardening.   
 

Wine lovers will gather in Alys Beach for the fourth annual 30A Wine Festival on Friday, March 6 through Sunday, March 8, 2015. Located on Scenic Highway 30A in Northwest Florida’s South Walton County, Alys Beach will welcome renowned vintners and local culinary favorites for a three-day celebration benefiting Children’s Volunteer Health Network. The Seaside Institute is hosting five arts workshops from Jan. - June in the Seaside Academic Village. Writers, photographers and artists are invited to participate in workshops instructed by masters in their respective fields. 
 

Join community education classes and support group meetings at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast in Feb. Topics include stroke and breast-cancer support, diabetes management and quit smoking now classes , as well as seminars on finance, healthy living and driver safety for senior adults. The award-winning hospital also hosts community blood drives, including wellness checks, once a month in collaboration with OneBlood.

The Pearl Hotel in Rosemary Beach is sharing their award-winning hosting tips in a series of classes focused on The Art of Entertaining. Food & Beverage professionals at The Pearl will teach participants how to create a menu and host a gathering in seamless fashion.     

Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation (DCWAF) will kick off its 10 year anniversary with the Annual Tasting of Champions at Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa, Jan. 30 from 6-8 p.m. Guests will have an exclusive “first taste” of the medal winning wines featured in the upcoming South Walton Beaches Wine & Food Festival this spring. 
 

Gumbo is more than just a passion. It's a way of life! Our winter festival favorite is back for the 26th time - the Annual Sandestin Gumbo Festival - great gumbo paired with first-rate family fun, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 13-14 at the resort. Visitors and gumbo-lovers from across the Southeast are expected to join in the festivities during the extended Presidents Day weekend.
