Walton County Florida Real Estate Report for January 2018

The latest SoWal Real Estate Report covers all of Walton County including South Walton real estate activity for January 2018, with statistics for single family homes, townhomes, and condos in Walton County, Florida.

Single family closed sales were up 15.5% for January compared to the same month last year. The number of pending sales for Walton County was was up 16.3%. Inventory was down 11%, dropping for the 9th month in a row. Median sales price was up 5.5%. Dollar volume increased 36.5% over last year at $115.4 Million.

The Art of Simple is one of those special places that seems to have evolved right along with South Walton.

Over time, the well-curated boutique has taken on one form or another, going from a shop to a gallery and back. Owners Michael and Laura Granberry just celebrated five years on the square in Seaside, and fifteen years in business overall. Single family closed sales were up an amazing 43.5% for December compared to the same month last year. The number of pending sales for Walton County was was up 12.2%. Inventory was down 12.89%, dropping for the 8th month in a row. Median sales price was up 0.1%. Dollar volume soared 62% over last year at $43.5 Million.

NEAT Bottle Shop And Tasting Room at Alys Beach Expands Space & Menu Offerings

NEAT Bottle Shop & Tasting Room has expanded following the completion of the interiors, as well as updates to the menu. The newly expanded space serves as an extension to the current tasting room, now boasting additional seating for 24 inside and a total of 60 overall.

The design of the new addition keeps with the elements of both the bottle shop and tasting room—wood panels and cozy seating, accented with brass and marble details.

The Red Bar Celebrates 23 Years on Super Bowl Sunday

Once upon a time way back during the last century, destiny led Oliver Petit to the site of the Red Bar in the year 1990.

A cook by trade, Oli took a job at the building when it was the Bay Café, not knowing that it would become the place where legends never die. He traveled all the way from the faraway town of Fort Walton Beach - back when there were few signs of life between Destin and Grayton.

“When I got here I almost turned around,” Oli exclaimed.
