On Valentine’s Day the SoWal Staff lunched at Grayton Beer Brewpub for some local love.
We beat the dinner crowd and opted for lunchtime bites. (Or so we thought…they were actually pretty busy!) Healthy salads, handhelds, and hearty apps found their way to the table as we chatted over the devastating Red Bar fire, and where we couldn’t wait to dine next. (Basmati’s, we’re coming for ya!)

Remembering good times at The Red Bar in Grayton Beach which sadly burned to the ground in the early morning hours of February 13, 2019. A plan to rebuild is underway and to that we say CHEERS and we can't wait!

Single family closed sales were up 18.8% for November compared to the same month last year. The number of pending sales for Walton County was down 6.1%. Inventory was down 4.8%. Median sales price was up 6.2%. Dollar volume increased 31.9% over last year at $149.9 Million.

Café Thirty-A recently held its annual Christmas Charity Ball on Friday, December 7, 2018, and raised a total of $26,200 for Caring and Sharing of South Walton, an organization which provides food and financial assistance to area families and individuals in need.
Sandestin Investments, LLC (SDI) has received a development order from the Walton County Board of County Commissioners to proceed with the building of a new 250-room full-service hotel and conference center. The Sandestin Hotel and Conference Center will be located adjacent to the Baytowne Conference Center at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. This four-star hotel is the first new development within Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in over 4 years. Construction will commence in August 2018 with completion projected for April 2020.
Black Bear Bread Company, LLC. announces plans to open a second location at Hyatt Place Sandestin at Grand Boulevard this year.
