Sandestin Investments has broken ground on a new condo development, Osprey Pointe at Sandestin. Completion is slated for February 2020. The project consists of 77 luxury units in five buildings, with a pool and outdoor recreation space in a pristine setting. Osprey Pointe will be just north of the existing Heron Walk Road and south of Jolee Island, the resort’s bayfront island preserve.

Single family homes closed sales were up 11.6% for April 2019 compared to the same month last year. The number of pending sales for Walton County was up 9.2%. Inventory was down 2%. Median sales price was down 1.1%. Dollar volume increased 2.9% over last year at $181 Million.
Summer visitors to South Walton will once again be able to enjoy free day-use admission to Grayton Beach State Park and Topsail Hill Preserve State Park from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Sacred Heart Health System, part of Ascension Florida, has officially begun construction of a healthcare facility in the Watersound Origins community in eastern SoWal, in collaboration with Commercial Real Estate Development, LLC, a subsidiary of the St. Joe Company.
The new healthcare facility broke ground on May 28 and will be at the entrance of Watersound Origins, 20 miles east of Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast. The St. Joe Company is a Northwest Florida-based real estate developer known for its planned communities.
