Bigger Fish To Fry

July 24, 2012 by Larry Pentel

Well the Red Snapper season for 2012 came to end with a nice calm day. We have been fortunate to find that with that species closed the other critters that we haven't been chasing for a while are around and seem eager to be caught.

The Grouper bite continues to be good. You still have to be able to get 'em off the bottom after they bite but we have been getting quite a few to bite! I'm off this afternoon to go to Indian Pass and chase Tarpons for a few weeks so I may be slow in the next fishing report. In the meantime here are a few pics from the past week.

What a great board ! Big Snappers & a pile of Kings!

More big Snappers and some fine Groupers too!

The last Red Snapper catch for 2012.

The "other" critters- Triggers and Vermillions.

This was a 3 hour afternoon. The boys all wanted to fish for "Big" fish. They landed a few too!
Off to launch some giant silver fish skyward!
