OK, I've googled and Wikipediaed Peter Powell but not having any luck finding retail sources.

Out of production and collectible now, right?

Do they fly better than most?

yeah, out of production, and pretty collectible. they all fly pretty much the same. a Powell would probably seem a bit sluggish since newer/lighter materials are used now.

If you want stunt kites, particularly ones that offer about 30 feet or more of air, your best bet is probably Bobby at Liquid Surf in Ft. Walton -- or talk to Ed after he's done ripping it up at Seaside. Otherwise, any of the other shops will do.

We should organize a kite day. We unearthed our favorites in the big garage cleanout. They aren't stunt kites (at least I don't think they are), but they have fun shapes. We used to fly 4 or 5 at a time at Grayton, tied to coolers.
