I'm a parent so I guess my own dumb texts are fair game. Usually mine result from my IPhone's well intended autocorrect. But here is one that was just a typo-

I was on my way to pick up my 7 year old son from his friend's house. I was trying to avoid waiting a long time when I got there so I sent my son's friend's mom this:

"Ho- please send Cal outside. I'll be there in a sec."

(I meant to type Hi)

She never responded and I only noticed it later. I laughed my head off. Not sure how amused my son's friend's mom was.

I taught Mama Scooterbug to text so she can communicate with my cousins (Papa Scooterbug absolutely refuses) and I get about 50% random thoughts/unnecessary info (usually when she is shopping or bored) and 50% pertinent information (arrivals and travel info).

My texts usually relate to our daughter driving in heavy traffic, long distances, or in bad weather, as in, "Please text me when you get there."

My Mom's phone calls to me were similar. She stopped doing that when she got dementia. That should have been our first clue.

So I need to tell everyone that when I stop sending those "worried Mom" messages, it's time for the Exelon.
