What's your nickname? (Nicknames)

I'll bet you can't figure out what nickname junior high schoolers would give to a gangley brunette?

My husband never uses my name, it's butterfly, bumblebee, and at times buffalo head (for times when my curly hair is particularly unruly).

My dad calls me possum sugar or Laurenz Jean!?!

My family always called me "Quirty" growing up. Apparently when my parents brought me home from the hospital, my 15 year old brother said, "Look at the squirt." My 2 year old sister couldn't say "squirt" and said "Quirty" instead. And it stuck. Mostly used by my brother and my mom - as I got older, they began calling me "Linny" which I do not like (not that I particularly cared for "Quirty" either!)

Rental Agent :shock: "Excuse me? Did you say sevety?"

ktschris (Julie) "Yes, do you have a house for us?"

Rental Agent "I may be able to rent you all the houses in the Cottage District of WaterColor. They are cute and all in the same neighborhood."

Great thread....just a few...it is interesting how you just don't think about this much but when you do think about it---it seems that everyone has 1 or more of them (nicknames)

Wetwilly--of course--my wife ("Gumwoman" or "Vern") gave it to me when we were dating

"B"-was/is my nickname that my dad started and all my family in Pittsburgh used to call me and my cousins still do when I see or talk to them but that is not very often. My brother was "Jr" or "Skip" and "Skipper" but I don't know why?

Hammer-one of my co-workers many years ago cuz I was not always politically correct plus I have been known to verbally hammer people from time to time

Doctor or Doctor Ro-good friend a long time ago called me that when we worked in a restaraunt when in college
