What do you think the participation would be like if they made the "neighborhood street painting festival" back into a festival where regular people from the neighborhood could paint the streets. That's what I loved about it!

Several reasons; I think it was a combination of things. There are now brick pavers where a lot of the squares were. The space that we used to have is not there anymore. It has never been a big money maker for the school - it takes a lot of work to make it happen, we call on a lot of the same businesses to sponsor who just gave to the race, so taking it a little bit West, we open up the door for more sponsors, more artists - we'll see how it goes. I am excited to see how it will work at Grand Blvd! I am working on a great sponsorship idea right now!
With the budget cuts happening in education, we have to try to make up the difference as much as we can!
