shopping channels on the tv

Hey. I'm the QVC queen of SoWal.

I got our UPS guy trained...if the package is soft (clothes) or small (makeup), he brings them to me at the office so I don't have to play 20 Questions with Fuzz & Squirt (sorry dear ).

HSN.....got some great pots and pans. Have them in all my houses and my mother has 2 sets. Performance Gold cookware....not expensive and they are fab.

Why would you subject yourself to this?? Last time I stopped on one of those channels, I got myself some killer suede leather boots I'll never wear!

Read a book instead....

I can't read if I wanna stay in bed...it'll wake up Mr. DD and the cats and dog. So, I just watch infomercials. I don't buy anything, but I've learned a lot.

Billy Mays is the first cousin of one of my co-workers. When my friend got married in Savannah, Billy was there. Very very nice guy. In fact, he arranged for a pirate cruise for all the kids during the wedding so they would have something to do. It was his present to the couple.

The one thing I didn't ask was does he use all the products he hawks on the TV! I shoulda!

...but, yeah, you're right. That voice! "Hi! Billy Mays here with a great new product..."

Oh hail, I thought you were gonna say he was YOUR relative, and then I was gonna feel bad. Whew!

SN,I have several friend sthat get almost daily deliveries from UPS and some from QVC. I really wasn't talking about that station its over on 333 or somethng. I never really think to go over there. My friend got some great all weather rugs from QVC last summer.As far as shopping ones, I was refering to the jewelry,knives and coins on around 230 on direct tv.

Yeah, dish has no less than 16 or 17 of those channels. Then there are the other ones, like Court TV (or Tru, or whatever it is now) and Sun Sports and others that stop their own programming after about midnight and run infomercials until 5 am or so. Some of those tend to go over the top...and I agree with everyone about Billy Mays. It's really hard to ignore him. 'Course I guess that's the point!

Then, there's the "rabbit" channel...though in my early-morning channel-fumbling I haven't run across them lately...
