Roberts seems more concerned with taxes than anything. Since she seems to be kow-towing to the WCTA before anyone else, she might be better off working for them.

Regarding Blithe Spirit, Roberts and Darrell Barnhill both voted to remove Noel Coward's play, Blithe Spirit, from the WCSD library shelves. Yes folks, this is called book banning, and has no place in the public educational system.

Sheesh- I swore I wasn't going to comment too much on the school board elections. I thought the choices would be easy for people. I forget that many don't pay attention, and I also forget about Walton County politics.;-)

Nothing is easy during election season in Walton County.

I actually planned to lay low and not care too much this time as 2008 kicked my butt and I already know the 2012 elections will likely cause me to require medication. But old habits are hard to break.

She is expressing concern but her voting record is one that is actually increasing taxes. But again, people pay little attention to what is going on, and listen to the rhetoric instead.

Probably just another RINO. She is an incumbent so I did not plan to vote for her anyways. Same goes for Barnhill. What do you know about Leddon and Sunday? That is like the mystery race.

He is retired from the school system and served either one or two terms as superintendent. One, I think.

I worked with Ms. Leddon 20-something years ago. She's a sharp cookie.

Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong in this race.

She didn't seem to have much experience in education. Did I miss something?

She has as much as I would have if I were to run, and you have to have a balance. Of course, Zane has many years of administrative experience and, despite being cousins with my spouse, would do a good job too. Like I said, hard to go wrong here.

I would say that is a plus, get away from professionals scratching each other's back and have someone who looks for common sense solutions to issues.

Mr. Sunday is a good man but I think you maybe right. He was defeated when he ran for a second term as Superintendent. Also, with 30 + years in the system--I don't think he will be looking out for "us" the taxpayers.
