I have run out of ideas of places for a small group to meet in the evening, and not battle the crowds that are here this week. Watercolor Market is packed every night this week, Starbucks and Amavida are too small, PJs closes at 7, yada yada.

Any ideas that is quiet, open past 7, and has enough seating for 6 people to work for a couple hours?

I've noticed D & K have two rooms that seem to be quiet.
One upstairs and one downstairs not too many people know about.

The Terrace Restaurant (Inlet Beach) is great and has been nearly empty every time we've been there. Its more formal than a coffee shop or bar, but I don't think they'd mind.

Thank you all for your suggestions!

The Coffee House by Watercolor Publix is open until 9- and they have tables and chairs. Perfect!

Not a good idea now. The lobby bar has been slammed now due to spring break and the sushi bar there. However just across the lobby is the library with a table, couchs, etc. Get a wine or whatever and set up shop.

They might question someone who isn't staying there. :dunno:

Michigan but someday in SoWal as well
Maybe Seacrest Cafe or Fonville Press (outside, inside wouldn't work very well for a group of 6). Both have wireless available, too, if you bring a laptop. And you could sip a little wine while working.

Maybe I read this earlier today, and didn't realize it. I just left WC Publix and saw the sign at the Coffee Shop noting open til 9pm, and thought it would be perfect. If I lived in the hood near there, I'd hang out there all the time.
