Anybody want to share their hard-earned list of do's and don'ts to carry into the new year?

I'll start:........do believe that good things happening to good people. Don't automatically assume that you're included...................

Different is not bad, just different.

You cannot expect everyone to live to your standards or think as you do. Love them anyway.

This too shall pass and something worse will take its place...not a good year!!

Be careful who you become friends with, some folks just get crazier the longer you know them-and not in the good way.

Appreciate your family and friends because you never know how much time you'll have with them.

If you quit working out and eat everything that you want, you can grow out of your jeans in two week's time.

If you drink 2-3 bottles of champagne on an empty stomach during a sunset sail, having a dark and stormy (ginger beer and dark rum) will not make your tummy feel better but a meatball sub and good nights sleep will! I actually learned that lesson in December 2009 but still worth sharing!!

a very strange summer (oil spill) but overall a good year with many blessings, some sadness with the loss of loved ones, happy times spent with friends and family, a little travel, and challenges here and there.

my parents 50th wedding anniversary took place in 2010 - I'm so proud of them for growing old together!

Life.... to be continued in 2011~~~~~

I'll go with that little piece of wisdom I gleaned from John Stewart: "I disagree with you, but I'm pretty sure you're not Hitler."

Take the craziest political/religious/sociological position you can think of--at least 20% of Americans are convinced it's true.
