I think those great commercials with the Mac and PC guy pretty much sums it up.
Being the nice guy I am, I have purchased Macs for my entire family. I still have a PC. Like the old, nerdy guy in the commercial I am constantly having problems and on several computers while they have no problems at all.My oldest is has had the same Mac 5 years and never had one glitch nor one pop up. They really are just a superior product.
The problem is my work is all on PC and does not interface with Mac. I would switch in a heart beat if I could.
I'd have to ask, which PC are you comparing to? What many like about the PC, and is off putting to others, is the lack of standardization (of form). This makes for great variety and customization options. There are small companies that can build a PC precisely to your specs. Many people of average ability build their own PCs as well. PCs run different operating systems such as Linux. With Apple you are much more restricted. Granted the lack of choice facilitates decision making. My next PC will probably come from this online vendor: CyberPower Inc. - UNLEASH THE POWER - Create the Custom Gaming PC and Laptop Computer of your dreams It's daunting, but when the time comes, I'm willing to do the research in order to get precisely what I want. I'll know the specs on every component. It will be almost like building my own except I won't have to do the work shopping around for parts and assembling it.
I think what has made Apple so appealing is that virus writers have been focusing on attacking the most popular platform, the PC running some Windows variant. It appears that the party is over for Apple users.
