I have one on my front porch. It's been there for a week. Mr. dd and I are having a stand-off. :D

I recycle them as soon as I get them...I usually just google a biz # or use 411.com, I guess cause I am usually always connected one way or another.

Ditto, SeagroveGirl. When the guy pulled up to my house to drop them off, I told him to just put them on the pile with the others, on the doorstep, and I bid him a fond farewell. Later, I saw a guy in WaterCooler open the back doors to his big van, and he began bagging what appeared to be hundreds of phone books. Just give me the little 30A phone book (Gordie Cover), and one PC book and one Destin Book, to cover my bases, and I will be more than good to go.

Got home from the office yesterday and someone had dropped off five phone books at my door. Five of the same book. Are these people paid by the book or something. It's a two bedroom home. What made someone think I needed five books?!?

I thought this was interesting - Goog 411 is free because Google plans on becoming the number one voice-enabled mobile device search company. When they do they will make tons off advertising. They are using Goog 411 for their software to learn speech patterns, dialects, etc.

I can recycle newspaper in SRB. Wonder if they would take phone books? That is the most frustrating idea too. Money is spent and trees are cut down to make a book that immediately heads toward a recycle center or worse yet, a landfill.
