Ditto verizon over att. We have had repeatedly problems with signal on AT&T, especially on beaches and inside certain dwellings. One cell phone has been switched to Verizon and immediately the signal problems vanished.
Now I'm off to find Beach Runner's phone case on google because we had the same sound problem and my Lifeproof case ultimately failed on the beach one day too. Mailed it in and they covered replacement of the case under warranty as defective, but they don't guarantee the product to not damage the phone - we didn't realize their warranty was limited to replacement of the actual case and not a damaged phone when the case is defective - lesson learned!

ATT works on 30A if if you have a new iPhone 5s or newer...better antenna and the new new powerful tower at Grayton last December has helped a lot.

If you are on the fifth floor, if you hold your phone over your head, if you hop on one leg, etc, etc. Too many ifs, just go with Verizon and dump that suckass AT&T.

I have had a Virgin Mobile prepaid that I carry in my car for 10 years... never had a problem with signal ANYWHERE on 30A... works fine in Pt. Washington too. The only place I ever had a problem was a stretch of 20 near Portland. I would recommend having one of these as a back-up (or even primary in this area.. (my daughters plan is $35 a month with unlimited text/data...but only about 400talk...she has NEVER gone over her talk....)

Lost in the world
I have AT&T and used to live in the Village at BMB. Had great service. I'm temporarily residing in Miramar Beach and AT&T is completely useless. They gave me a microcell to boost my signal at home. With the spring breakers here, I'm without a signal outside the house many days. AT&T does have a new tower on the east end of Destin that is supposed to come online May 14th, so we'll see. I don't understand the logic companies have of not providing services in tourist areas. My friend gets nada from T-Mobile.
