Well, it's true. Anyway, I don't worry about her. She is the most picture-perfect cemetary you could ever wish for. It's in Windsor, England, surrounded by low stone walls that are centuries old, under this ancient old tree. And it's under the Heathrow Airport flight path, so she can watch the planes coming and going--a real plus, since my MIL was a fantastic traveller in her life. I wouldn't mind being laid to rest there myself!

When my time comes, of course. :rotfl:

Peapod, it's my mother, not Merman's mother, who is the big reader in the family. Merman's mum is six feet under and probably crumbled to dust at this point. :sosad:

Well Mermaid, I don't know how you meant that remark so I hope this doesn't offend you, but that made me LOL. I'm sorry.

That's okay. We're very practical in this family. I was just saying what is. (BTW, we got along well in life, so I wasn't being snippy or anything. ) What is funny is my MIL being mentioned in a post about books, because she was an inveterate tabloid reader! She LOVED all the juicy gossip.

You are so FUNNy!!! There is a cemetary that looks across the street at Neiman Marcus here in Dallas. Have you ever heard of "Last Call"? That is their big huge clearance sale and also what it would be called to be buried there!!!

Oh, so at last you answer my question--she is still in England, then. :funn:
(P.S. Sorry I got the players wrong; my apologies to the very-much-alive-and-reading Merma! Look at that--a new name for a family member! :clap_1: )

Hey, if you're half Irish like me, you have a fine appreciation of gallows humor. It comes from knowing the art of the Irish wake. Nothing's off limits at those!
