just talked to the planning wench. she's on her way to sowal. BB has lots of good stuff planned - she's bringing several snack/appetizers (such as crab/artichoke dip from modica), and she has a few friends bringing stuff as well. I know of several other sowallers bringing something to eat.
BB is bringing ice, but says we could use extra. she has the big cooler to put it in.
she is bringing garbage bags, paper products.
She asked me to tell everyone to bring a chair, and maybe a warm blanket/towel or jacket for later when it may be cool. and folks do not need to bring food unless its convenient for you and you just want to. I think if we have several of us bringing items, we should have enough stuff.
of course, bring your own drinks!
for many of us, we will be too busy for cooking or preparing anything, so picking it up is the way to go.
a few suggestions if you want to bring something: smoked tuna dip from cocoon's is awesome served with pita chips or wheat thins. french baguettes, cheeses, other dips. jello shots. cheese doritoes - can't go wrong with those. sandwich wraps cut into small bite size slices.
I am bringing a few large tables. we'll also have a large cooler with ice. and something sweet - a surprise!
here is the main thing: bring yourself. relax. enjoy the evening.
