I have had a good experience with a number of realtors in south walton.
Here are my picks:
Bobby Johnson
Vickie Dollar
Michelle Joly
Peter Stoddard
Ron Henke

Sure wish I was buying TODAY--it is a terrible time to be broke!!

...I know quite a few people "in a position to act" and it isn't frustrating them one iota.

.

And good for those people, truly. It is a wonderful thing to feel content with exactly where you are and what you have, as I do for the most part. But for some of us, the city grind is really getting old and a more relaxed lifestyle is calling. I think there are good deals to be had for those who can take advantage of them now and likely for a few years to come.

Out of curiosity, Shelly, why is that?

Because they rely on their guts and not their emotions--as such, they're not susceptible to the latest round of RE "we've reached a bottom" hype. There's plenty of inventory now and much, much more yet to come...there's no need to rush.

...why not just take a vacation? Why do you feel you need to tie up hundreds of thousands of dollars "now" in a money pit that will sit empty most of the year until you are ready for that "relaxed lifestyle?"

I've played this argument over in my head for years, but one day when I can responsibly do it, I want more... a place my kids and someday their kids can call the family beach house. Yes, it's an emotional goal not focused on cash flow, but that's a discussion for the real estate forum and another day.

The focus of this thread is someone is ready to be an owner right now and has asked the SoWal community for recommendations on local realtors. There are clearly several good ones from which to choose.

I hope this poster finds just the right piece of South Walton to call his/her own (and at the right price!).

Thanks so much everyone!!! I appreciate all the responses! I'm not sure if we can find something affordable for us right now, but we thought we should at least look to see. Thanks again! Love this forum :)

...there's no harm in looking--try hitting open houses that serve snacks :D
