We have an Acme Oyster House in Baytowne.

Why, oh why did our Acme go with the name 'Acme'? I hope the place does really well, but I can't expect big Acme to just let little Acme roll with this name. Maybe they are cool with it, I certainly don't know, but as I recall the Tex-Mex place in Seacrest endured the wrath of a crumby chain out of Texas over naming rights.

Acme is our new neighbor and we're so happy to have them in "The Villages of South Walton." They're a kinda laid back place with a fairly simple menu and something to please everyone. We've been there a couple of times now even though, as a local we know going out to eat during Spring Break is normally a huge no-no for those of us that live here. The waits have been manageable and the management and staff at the Ice House have been great about having the time go by quickly. The guys running this place, Bill and Kim and the Managers Danny and Ray, have picked up a great staff, friendly and efficient. The complete remodel of the inside is welcoming and makes you feel comfortable, especially if you like a "Harley" hanging over your head.
Come on out to the west end of 30A and enjoy a new restaurant that won't win any five-star awards for "black-tie" service but will make you want to come back time and again!

It's been pointed out to me that my internal GPS is on the "Blink" again. Of course it was done very gently and very graciously by my beloved, who only used the term dumb*** twice. I attempted to use the excuse of being totally in a spin from the "Spring Breakers", but without success.
We at Seacrest Sundries and Acme Ice House are both at the EAST end of 30A, just WEST of Rosemary Beach, at least I think so!
