Kaydence, why do you keep defending a flag that stood for treason in the defense of commerce of human beings? That is what the Confederacy was all about: "I have the right to buy and sell people". It's in the Cornerstone documents.
I'm not defending that flag. How many times in the course of these idiotic threads have I said I don't care about that flag?
Why do some of you keep insisting that I have to believe what you do or I'm wrong?
1.) Slavery was wrong. I have never owned a slave.
2.) Hitler was pure unadulterated evil. Ethnic cleansing was the work of a monster and all of this seems eerily reminiscent to me of ethnic cleansing! Some of you are trying to tell others that in order to right the wrongs of the past we must erase all semblance of what this nation was founded upon and I don't agree with that. I think we need constant reminders that we should never be again what we were in the past.
3.) The KKK is a hate group..pure and simple. I have never been in the clan or been a clan sympathizer!
4.) Peoples lives (all people) matter regardless of what color your are and I've been very consistent about that as well.
5.) Would I personally attend a hate rally knowing people were gunning for a fight? Not likely.
6.) Was wrong done on both sides...every picture tells a story and those photos and live videos were not photo-shopped.
If you think for a minute removing all semblances of our past is going to make everything right in this country you are sadly delusional. All this is doing is creating more hate and animosity that many of you are claiming you're against. What makes you or anyone else think you have the right to tell people what they should or shouldn't believe and to ram your opinions down their throats and spew epithets when they have a different view?
I don't know if you've ever noticed LVT but I won't stand for and pray at BCC meetings. Why? Because I'm not a hypocrite. I don't pray out one side of my mouth while helping the Government screw over the people who elected them nor do I support Government led prayer. I also don't recite the Pledge of Allegiance but I will stand out of respect for the lives of the men and women who have died defending what they believe in including, fighting wars that made politicians rich.
I personally can't think of a single war this country has been involved in that was justified or that didn't take a heavy toll on peoples lives. Not one!
Bigotry is as ugly as hypocrisy and I personally think if your going to be outraged at the civil war you should be outraged by all of them. If you are going to be outraged by the Confederate flag you should also be outraged by the American flag as well. They both have the blood of human lives on them.

How many policemen were killed during Obama's tenure? I distinctly recall, I don't know maybe 10 times, that Obama did not come out and denounce the perps and the violence until he got public pressure. BUT gawd forbid you bring it up, remind them, or post a You Tube video because that is "Fake News".
Groups like ISIS have to be setting back and just loving this situation in the US. Revisionists, apologists, swing those doors wide open! Hell the US will have a sympathetic group that will have the sheeple building YOU a statue.We can call it Terrorists Are People Too.

I understand your points.
I'm not a Trump fan. Would never vote for him after comments he made on national TV about women and veterans (all veterans).
I gave up watching most news sources and even buying local news papers because it's my opinion they have all sold out to advertisers with the most money and political correctness.
There is not right or wrong here and some folks just can't grasp that concept. WAR is WRONG regardless but men/women gave their lives fighting for what they believed in. Politicians on the other hand sat at home raking in the big bucks, dodging/evading the draft while sending our sons and daughters off to war they profited from while holding that moral high ground. Gutless cowards who wouldn't fight themselves, that people continually re-cycle in government (lifers) who don't give a damn about your life or mine while making sure theirs are taken care of...health care is just one example and the sad part is...we elect them to do it and pay them for the privilege of screwing us.
Obama wasn't the perfect president (none were actually) but he is a damn sight better than the moron that currently occupy's OUR White House and he will (at the very least) go down in the history books with a rating better than the ZERO (0) Trump will have earned with his stupidity, bigotry and hypocrisy!
