I think they had to amputate and then they installed a bionic thumb and SWGB is now out fighting crime!!

Meant to post it on the other thread SWGB. I have had one of these for years and it works great! The safety holder works very well and doesn't slip. Not cheap, but definitely cheaper than an ED visit.

That's almost exactly the model I did it on. The potato jammed and the guard slipped, voila thumb au gratin.
