It’s time to choose your favorites in the 2023 Perfect in Walton County Awards!

Online voting is open until Friday, Oct. 21  - pick your faves at www.visitsouthwalton.com/2023-perfect-walton-county-awards.

The top five nominees with the highest votes in 30 categories have been selected, and now it’s time for the final vote! Both residents and visitors are encouraged to vote for their favorite businesses, events, and activities.

Protecting Florida’s Coast Film & Discussion at Idyll Hounds Sep 22

In collaboration with Healthy Gulf, 350 Pensacola, and Climate Together Pensacola, Idyll Hounds Brewing Company will host Protecting Florida’s Coast, an evening of documentary films and discussion about the latest plans for offshore drilling in the Gulf of Mexico and the threat to Florida’s coast and beaches.

Beginning at 7PM on Thursday, September 22, the four short films highlight grassroots movements around Gulf oil drilling, impacts from the 2010 BP oil disaster and the revolution in clean energy.

Santa Clara Regional Beach Access Reopens After Rebuild

Santa Clara Regional Beach Access has reopened after being closed for several months to allow for boardwalk and dune walkover replacement. The access in Seagrove Beach is one of the most popular in SoWal with quite a bit of parking, restrooms and a shower. The ADA accessible ramp is nearly equal to a football field in length and allows a descent to the Seagrove sand from quite a height on the top of the dune cliff.
