Rags to Riches Regatta Returns To Grayton Beach

The 28th edition of the annual *Rags To Riches Regatta* returns to Grayton Beach on Saturday, June 28, 2025 in celebration of American Independence Day.

The small catamaran race is a tradition among SoWal sailors, families, friends, and Grayton Beach lovers. Come out to watch the regatta take off from the shores of Grayton Beach as they race to Seagrove Beach and back to Grayton.

South Walton Fire District Junior Lifeguard Program Summer 2025

The South Walton Fire District Junior Lifeguard Program returns for Summer 2025 with approximately 200 participants ready to learn what it takes to work as a surf rescue professional along the Emerald Coast.

The program begins Tuesday, June 10, with a dual-curriculum approach, creating a fun and welcoming environment for both first-time and returning Juniors. More information and registration online at SWFD.org.

FSU Health Hospital Coming To Panama City Beach

FSU's planning to build a 'FSU Health' hospital in Panama City Beach on Hwy 79 to make healthcare better and more accessible in Northwest Florida. The location is about a 30 minute drive from the intersection of Hwy 331 and Hwy 98 in South Walton.

With the goal of improving access and innovation in health and health care in Northwest Florida, Florida State University has announced plans to build an acute care hospital in Panama City Beach under the FSU Health name.
