Wine Women & Shoes Presented by Sinfonia at Hilton Sandestin Feb 13-15

Put your best foot forward for a great cause with Sinfonia Gulf Coast and Wine Women and Shoes. As our region’s only fully professional symphony orchestra, Sinfonia is synonymous with presenting high-caliber events and providing much-needed educational initiatives throughout the community. Sinfonia’s annual Wine Women & Shoes events benefit the organization’s music education programs, which include musicians/guest artists in schools, free orchestra concerts, bus transportation for students, Sinfonia Youth Orchestras, Arts in Medicine initiative with Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast and Link Up concerts in partnership with Carnegie Hall.
Sinfonia’s Wine Women and Shoes will feature multiple Vintner Dinners on Friday, February 13, hosted in elegant homes and venues throughout the region. Some of the country’s best vineyards such as Aloft by Mondavi, Arbios, Blackbird, Davis Estates Vineyards, Ferrari Sparkling, Gabrielle, Justin, Charles Krug and Peju, will be pouring wines. Culinary maestros include regional celebrity chefs Tim Creehan of Cuvee Bistro, Jack McGuckin of Bijoux Destin, Nikhil Abuvala of Roux 30A, Todd Misener of Blue Mountain Catering, and Jude Tauzin, Executive Chef for Louisiana-based Tony Chachere.
Wine Women & Shoes signature event will take place on Sunday, February 15 from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Emerald Ballroom at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa. Patrons can expect an extravaganza of fashion, wine and retail (shoes) shopping, silent and live auction, wine tastings, sole mates (shoe guys), mini-performance by members of the Sinfonia Youth Orchestra, live DJ, delectable hors d’oeuvres and a fashion show from Simply Elegant and Dennis & Company. New this year for the guys is “The Men’s Room,” that will feature a signature bourbon cocktail, large screen TV’s and selections from Harbor Cigars. All-inclusive tickets are $65 or $100 for VIP reserved table seating and champagne/dessert service during the fashion show.
On Thursday, January 15 at 11:30 am, Sinfonia will present a preview “Sole Sisters Lunch” at Bijoux located in The Market Shops. Brilliant bling from Destin Jewelers along with a fashion preview and sample sale courtesy of W by Worth, incredible door prizes, the chance to win two round trips on Southern Airways Express and a culinary experience noteworthy of Bijoux chef Jack McGuckin paired with Pip Wines, will highlight the event. Tickets are $50 each and include all food and gratuities.

Sinfonia Gulf Coast was founded in 2005 on Florida's Northwest Gulf Coast with the mission of redefining the symphony experience. Under the guidance of Music Director and Founder Demetrius Fuller and a dedicated board of directors, the nonprofit orchestra is entering its ninth season of innovative musical programming, designed to entertain, educate and inspire the community. Notable guest artists have included: Broadway legends Bernadette Peters and Patti LuPone, R&B icon Roberta Flack, Mary Wilson of the Supremes, Chris Brubeck, the Sao Paulo String Quartet, classical-crossover sensation Time for Three, Manhattan Piano Trio, Epic recording artist Morgan James, Tony Award-winning vocalists Gary Mauer and Debbie Gravitte, Grammy-nominated violinist Caroline Goulding, Grammy-Award winners John Pizzarelli, Howard Levy, the Parker Quartet, New York Voices and iconic big band Pink Martini. Since it's founding, Sinfonia Gulf Coast has presented more than 400 concerts and events, has collaborated with numerous nonprofits and businesses throughout the community and has reached more than 48,000 children through its Sinfonia Guest Artists in the Schools program/music education outreach initiatives. More than 800 families have benefited from Sinfonia’s Students4FREE program, which provides complimentary tickets to live orchestral performances and musical events. Sinfonia also supports a sixty member youth orchestra program, led by Music Director Liz Aylor and maintains a partnership with Carnegie Hall’s Weill Institute of Music with the Link Up program for third through fifth graders. Sinfonia Gulf Coast is also a proud collaborator throughout the Northwest Florida community and continues its partnership with Sacred Heart Hospital along the Emerald Coast in their Arts in Medicine program.

Wine Women & Shoes is one of the fastest-growing event series in the country. The events are festive and always for a noble cause. Inspired by the classic country ballad “Wine, Women and Song,” Elaine Honig, a scion of the prominent California wine producing family, created the event.
