Sunrise Coffee Co. Shines All Day at Gulf Place

Starting the day with a cup o’ joe from the Sunrise Coffee Company seems to be the thing to do these days. Jenny and Brad McDowell, along with Boo Freeman, have partnered up and opened Sunrise Coffee Co. at Gulf Place.

Formerly the home of Miss Lucille’s, the new establishment offers a variety of breakfast and lunch items sure to please all palates.
 

The "Sunrise” menu includes of traditional breakfast items - coffee, biscuits, muffins, wraps, sausage rolls, bagels, cronuts, quiches, donuts, and fruit cups. For lunch there are pla\enty of favorites - club, turkey and avocado sandwiches, classic BLT’s, grilled chicken wraps, and quesadillas.
 

Beverages include coffee (regular, frozen, iced, latte and expresso), sodas, milk, OJ, vitamin water, and crystal geyser or Dasani water. Customers working a sweet tooth will be happy to find a variety of ice creams, milkshakes, snow cones, smoothies and cookies. Adult beverages include bottled and draft beer, wine, Pina coladas, margaritas, bloody marys, and mimosas.

Wanting to “keep it local”, Jenny has made sure that various local businesses are well represented with Red Bay Preserves, Amavida Coffee, Grayton Beer, pastries by KaraBoo Bakery, and art by Modus Photography.

You can also take home souvenirs in the form of colorful t-shirts, hats, beach towels, and beverage mugs.
 

“Sunrise Coffee Company is kind of an extension of our Sunrise Chair Company business which we opened up four years ago,” explains Jenny. “We’re using quality parts to build our beach chairs and we use quality ingredients here at Sunrise Coffee…keeping it simple, affordable, friendly, and fun. We try to support our local businesses as best as we can.”

Visiting tourists and local customers can enjoy their meals, drinks, or sweets either inside or outside, seated in chairs made by Sunshine Chair Company.
