Happy Labor Day Weekend to SoWal friends near and far. We hope you'll have a chance to kick back and enjoy your holiday, relax, have an adventure, go to the beach, have a bbq and a brew, and take a nap.
 
SoWal.com/EVENTS calendar is packed with holiday celebrations, happenings, music, sidewalk sales and fun for the Labor Day Weekend as we celebrate the close of Summer and look to Fall 2015! It's been beautiful summer in SoWal with many visitors from all over, blessed with some of the best weather all season long. Local businesses are hard at work but they're smiling and that's a good thing.
 
South Walton's events and music heat up this weekend. We're also working double time keeping up with the SoWal Events Calendar as we capture all that's going on this fall at the beach such as Seeing Red Wine Festival, South Walton Fashion Week, Back to Nature Festival, Baytowne Wharf Beer Festival, Endless Summer Songwriters at Sandestin, Flutterby Childrens Art Festival, Halloween festivities all over town, Seaside REP Fall Concerts... just to name a very few great local festivals and fall celebrations coming our way.
 
Here's what's coming up this weekend:
 
Gulf Coast Jam, a three-day celebration of sun, fun and country music, will host its 3rd Annual festival on the Gulf Coast shores of Panama City Beach, Florida from Friday, September 4 to Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Frank Brown Park. Lady Antebellum (with Hunter Hayes and Sam Hunt), Miranda Lambert and Keith Urban.
 
Baytowne Art Walk takes place all weekend long in Sandestin! Come out Sept. 4-6 from 5-10 p.m. Stroll the streets as you enjoy live music, browse a variety of local art, and participate in the live painting competition. Plenty of interactive chldren's art and activities. Live music entertainment each evening.
 

 
30A Art Walk Friday evening... Enjoy the night strolling local galleries in Rosemary Beach, Seagrove Beach, Seaside, WaterColor, Grayton Beach, Gulf Place and Santa Rosa Beach. See current list of 30A Art Walk galleries.
 
30Avenue Stroll with Live Music on the green every Thu-Sun 5:30-8:30pm continuing through this Fall. Seaside Labor Day Weekend concert with Ryan Kinder on stage Saturday, Sept. 5, 7pm.
 

 
Seaside Merchants are having a Labor Day Weekend sidewalk sale from Fri Sep 4 through Sun Sep 6, 10am to 6pm each day. Seaside is a shopper’s paradise, offering an eclectic collection of boutiques, galleries and markets.
 
Seaside Farmers Market takes place in the Seaside Amphitheater every Saturday rain or shine! 8am-noon. Shop for all the good stuff - the vendors are truly amazing.
 
Sandestin Shops Labor Day Weekend Sale will take place Sept. 4-7 from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. in the Village of Baytowne Wharf.
 
The Art of Entertaining at The Pearl in Rosemary Beach: Pickles, Preserves and Conserves with Executive Chef Matt Moore. A continuation of classes for people who love to entertain.

The 4th annual Alys Beach 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run is happening Labor Day weekend on September 6 from 7-9:30 am. The run/walk winds through the resort town and ends with an oversized obstacle course for kids of all ages. Music, food, and beverages will be available in the Amphitheatre
 
WaterColor Coastal Farmers Market takes place Sundays from 9am - 2pm with over 30 vendors in tranquil Cerulean Park.
 

 
Celebrate Labor Day in Alys Beach with live music by The Will Tucker Band followed by fireworks. The show takes place Sunday, Sept 6, 6-9pm in the Amphitheater. Food & beverages available at Piper's food truck. Free and open to the public.
 
The 7th Annual Labor Day Weekend Concert at Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village featuring the Heather Hayes Experience, Sept. 6 from 7-9 pm in Destin.
