Seeing Red Wine Festival Celebrates 28 Years in Seaside Nov 8-11

Reds, whites, and rosés will be uncorked during Seeing Red Wine Festival for four days of wine and culinary events being held in Seaside, Florida November 8 - 11, 2018. Recognized as one of the Top 10 Can’t-Miss Fall Wine Festivals by Fodor’s Travel, the festival draws attendees from near and far to the iconic beach town for a yearly tradition during the most beautiful time of year in Northwest Florida's gulf coast. Tickets are available for Saturday's Grand Wine Tasting event

Beginning Nov. 8 and going through Nov. 11, Seeing Red is a four-day wine event held in Seaside. A sell-out event, the festivities include reserve wine tastings, dinners and a brunch with featured guest winemakers. With more than 120 quality wines for tasting curated by Seaside’s own restaurants and eateries, guests can enjoy hand-selected food offerings chosen by Seaside’s popular and well known local chefs, as well as live music and the opportunity to purchase wines on site.

Tickets are sold out for the Gulf to Table Dinner (Fri), Two-day and VIP passes, and Celebration of Bubbles Brunch (Sun). Limited tickets are still available for the Seeing Red Grand Tasting on Saturday, Nov. 10 taking place throughout town from 1:00 p.m. til 4:00 p.m. Purchase general admission tickets at seeingredwinefestival.com. Gulf Coast to Table Dinner SOLD OUT

Friday brings the Gulf Coast to Table Dinner in Ruskin Park at 6:00 p.m. This new-to-Seaside event is a seated dinner under the night sky featuring an elegant evening of locally sourced offerings paired perfectly by an excellent culinary team.  The chef team will be Chef Jim Shirley and his James Beard House culinary team and Chef Zachary Keaton of Bud & Alley’s Pizza Bar.

Grand Tasting 
Saturday, Nov. 10 | 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Saturday’s Grand Tasting, from 1 to 4 p.m. takes over Downtown Seaside. Several of Seaside’s famous restaurants will feature carefully selected food offerings to pair beautifully with the featured wines. Live music in the amphitheater. Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase wines on site. VIP Attendees will have access to the VIP Tent starting at 12:30 p.m (VIP tickets sold out). Celebration of Bubbles SOLD OUT
Ruskin Place
Sunday, November 11 | 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Sunday wraps up the weekend with a Celebration of Bubbles Brunch, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. in Ruskin Place, as sparkling wine enthusiasts explore Champagne, Cava, Prosecco and more, alongside a perfectly paired menu by Chef Jim Shirley.

Each year has been a sell-out event, and this year will be no exception. Tickets are limited. Proceeds from the wine festival benefit Seaside Neighborhood School.

Accommodations
Special lodging packages are available through the Seaside Visitors Bureau partners Cottage Rental Agency, Homeowner’s Collection and Sunburst Beach Vacations. Attendees can visit seeingredwinefestival.com and click on accommodations.

Park and Ride
Guests can take shuttles to and from Seaside for the event. The Seeing Red Wine Festival is offering complimentary shuttles to all guests at the new County Public Lot on CR 283 in Grayton Beach. Shuttles will run continuously allowing guests the opportunity to arrive early, stroll through Seaside and stay late for dinner following the event.

The Seaside School, one of Florida’s first charter schools founded in 1996 is now one of the oldest surviving public charter schools in the state of Florida. Its original goal was to create a school to address the need for better middle school education in Walton County. Now with more than 330 students across two campuses, The Seaside School encompasses two locations. Seaside Neighborhood School serves grades 5 through 8 and is located in the iconic beach town of Seaside, Florida. Seacoast Collegiate High School serves grades 9 through 12 offering students the ability to graduate high school with an associate college degree and is located on the campus of nearby Northwest Florida State College. Soon, Seaside School will expand to serve kindergarten through 4th grades.
