Sandestin Gumbo Festival Feb 20

The Sandestin Gumbo Festival takes place in The Village of Baytowne Wharf on Saturday, February 20 from 12-4pm. The event is a beloved local winter tradition in South Walton, Florida. Featuring gumbo tasting throughout The Village in addition to bloody mary competition and live music.

The Sandestin Gumbo Festival has been known as one of the largest and most popular winter food events along Florida’s Emerald Coast. Now in its 32nd year, the event takes over The Village of Baytowne Wharf during Presidents Day weekend.  Kick-off the weekend Friday, Feb. 19 with a delicious Baytowne Seafood Boil beginning at 5 p.m. On Saturday, Feb. 20 from 12-4 p.m. guests will enjoy live Zydeco music from Dikki Du and the Zydeco Krewe, family activities, the best gumbo cook-off on the Gulf Coast and bloody mary cocktails! Sandestin Gumbo Festival Main Event: Gumbo & Bloody Marys
Saturday 12-4pm | The Village of Baytowne Wharf
Gulf Coast restaurants will be featuring their top secret recipes! Spend the day sampling a variety of gumbo- dark or light roux, chicken & sausage, seafood and much more. Then, vote for your favorite for the "People's Choice Award." Local celebrity judges will name the “Area’s Best,” and award the most creative set-up as “Best Display.” Enjoy live Zydeco music and family entertainment. Back this year, Best Bloody Mary’s at The Beach! Taste some of the best Bloody Marys on the coast from area restaurants and bars AND you’re the judge! Vote for your favorite and help them win the title of “Best Bloody Mary at The Beach”! This year’s event is promising to serve up fun for everyone.

This festival’s atmosphere is so fun, with live music, free kid’s activities, and restaurants from all over our area vying for your vote! It’s a fun day for the whole family. EVENT WILL HAPPEN RAIN OR SHINE.
