Run Watersound 5K & Film Festival Oct 30 & 31

The first ever Run Watersound 5K & Film Festival is a two-day event at the Watersound Origins community and the new Watersound Town Center.

Enjoy an inspiring evening of running-focused documentaries with a screening of the Run Nation Film Tour on Saturday October 30th and a recreational 5K on the morning of October 31st. The Run Nation Film Tour screening will take place on the Village Commons lawn in the Watersound Origins community. The 5K will begin and end at the Watersound Town Center with a flat scenic course through the paths and street of the Watersound Origins community.

Tickets for both day go on sale on October 4. Visit Watersound online for event information, race registration and film tickets. 

Race Registration: $45 (includes one ticket to the film screening)
Film Screening Only: $20

SCHEDULE

Saturday Oct 30
Race Packet Pick Up: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Taking place at Watersound Town Center’s covered event pavilion, registered runners will be able to come pick up their race shirts, bibs and other necessary items for the following day’s race.

Run Nation Film Festival: 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
A screening of the Run Nation Film Tour (https://runnationfilmfestival.com) will take place on the Village Commons Lawn in the Watersound Origins community. Event attendees will enjoy a collection of inspiring, running-focused films from around the world in a picturesque, outdoor setting with a large LED video screen. All registered runners receive a ticket to this portion of the event, or a ticket to the film festival can be purchased separately for non-runners.

Sunday October 31
Run Watersound 5K: 7 a.m. – 10 a.m.
The covered event pavilion and neighboring green space at the Watersound Town Center will be transformed into a festival area for registered runners, their family and friends and anyone else interested in participating in the festivities. Promptly at 8 a.m. the race will begin, taking runners north up Watersound Parkway and through the tranquil Watersound Origins community. Runners will be treated to a beautiful course that utilizes the neighborhood’s paths to maximize safety and enhance the running experience. The finish line will be back at Watersound Town Center where live music will continue until 10 a.m.
