New Year's Eve Celebration and Paddleboard Drop at Redd's Fueling Station

December 10, 2014 by SoWal Staff

The 2nd Annual New Year’s Eve Celebration and Paddle Board Drop will take place at Midnight on Dec. 31 at Redd’s Fueling Station on Scenic Highway 30a in Blue Mountain Beach. Last year the "Drop The Paddle Board" event drew an enthusiastic crowd of revelers who witnessed the board drop to ring in the New Year. The event raised over $1,200 for the Cancer Unit at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast.

This year, the doors open at 6 p.m. and the evening will start with Redd’s famous Singing Bartender Show at 8 p.m., along with an elegant buffet and two free drinks per person. A brightly lit paddle board will be dropped at the countdown to the New Year, followed by a champagne toast. Traditional New Year's party favors will be on hand all evening to set the festive mood.

Tickets for the entertainment portion of the evening are $40 per person and available at www.reddsfuel.com or by calling 850-325-0252. There is no cost to watch the paddle board drop.

Redd is the popular Santa Rosa Beach singer who slings and sings from a song list of over 400 songs, all while serving drinks and taking care of customers. “Panama City does the beach ball drop, Key West does the big red shoe drop, so I thought it was appropriate to drop a paddle board since we are so close to the beach,” she said.

Redds Fueling Station Bar and Restaurant is located at 2320 W County Highway 30A in Blue Mountain Beach and features Southern style food with a few twists. The restaurant is open Tuesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. - 10 p.m., and Redd sings on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. For reservations call 850-325-0252 or visit www.reddsfuel.com.
