Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa Accepting Guests
May 13, 2020 by SoWal Staff
Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa, a premier beachfront resort located on Florida’s gulf coast, reopened its doors on Friday, May 15. Initially operating with 50% of its room inventory, the popular resort has begun its gradual re-entry into the marketplace, following the State of Florida’s Phase I recovery plan. Extensive new cleaning protocols and safety guidelines have been introduced to ensure the highest level of guest and employee health and well-being. To welcome guests back, the resort is offering two new getaway packages – Destination: Vacation and Sunshine & Good Vibes.
“We’re looking forward to once again providing a safe, peaceful place for guests to decompress and relax during these very challenging times,” said resort General Manager Gary Brielmayer. “Our spacious accommodations, junior suites with bunk beds and media centers, and sprawling resort complex allow guests plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the warm Florida sunshine and salty breezes.”
With rates starting at just $384, the Destination: Vacation package includes overnight accommodations, drink vouchers for two, and a $50 resort credit. The Sunshine & Good Vibes package also includes overnight accommodations and drink vouchers for two, along with breakfast for two, and waived resort charge. Some restrictions may apply to both package options.
Upon opening, some of the resort’s amenities and services may only be available on a limited basis. Room service will be available and guests may also enjoy food and beverage service at The Coffee Shop, Picnix Poolside Market, Barefoot’s Beachside Bar & Grill, Sandcastles Restaurant, and the AAA Four-Diamond Seagar’s Prime Steaks & Seafood. In addition to miles of breathtaking coastline, guests may also enjoy visits to the nearby state parks and waterways, as well as golf courses and other outdoor experiences. The Kids Krew program will not be available initially, and Serenity by the sea Spa will reopen with limited services, per state orders.
In accordance with guidelines issued by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) and Florida Department of Health (FDOH), the team at Hilton Sandestin Beach has taken numerous additional precautions to ensure guest and employee safety. These new protocols include implementing social distancing and directional signage throughout the property; offering multiple sanitation stations in public spaces; adjusting outdoor seating along the pool deck to facilitate social distancing standards; increasing daily sanitation of all elevators and public spaces; and operating all restaurants with indoor capacity at 25% per state order.
During the hotel’s April closure, Hilton Sandestin Beach also removed and disinfected all guest room mattresses, including bunk beds; sanitized all guest room linens; cleaned all outdoor seating on each private balcony; and more. Moving forward, all guest rooms will be cleaned and disinfected using commercial grade cleaning solutions and products between guest stays, focusing on frequently touched objects and surfaces, such as door handles, remote controls, telephone, etc. The property will also implement Hilton Hotels & Resorts CleanStay initiative this summer.
Located on Northwest Florida’s Gulf Coast, Hilton Sandestin Beach greets guests with stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico’s sugar-white sands and emerald-green waters. Each guest room boasts a full or partial Gulf view, all with private balconies and outdoor seating. Poolside lounges and private cabanas dot the resort’s expansive boardwalk area as families and couples alike enjoy special time with one another.
