Get Your Suds On at Baytowne BeerFest Oct 16 & 17

Beer lovers will converge for suds at the eighth annual Baytowne Beer Festival on Oct. 16-17. With the boom of interest in craft brewing, the Baytowne Wharf Beer Festival at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort grows each year and is a ton of fun.
 
In addition to great entertainment, there will be opportunities to discover and sample specialty beers from around the country. The charming Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin will be the perfect backdrop for fun-in-the-sun during the traditionally beautiful month of October.
 
The Baytowne Beer Festival is the largest beer event in Northwest Florida. This year’s event will feature a wide range of beers varying in strength and style. From light pale ales and rich dark stouts to a number of bottled and yet-to-be-released fall beers – beer aficionados and novices will be able to savor the best in sudsy selections.
 
Friday, October 16
Beer Bingo will take place in the Village from 5-9:30 p.m. Guests can join the fun by visiting merchants until they have completed a BINGO card. At 9 p.m. all cards can be turned in for a chance to win great prizes; such as a Coastal Cruiser Kiwi Stand Up Paddleboard by YOLO Board, Grizzly cooler filled with delicious beer, Power Up Watersports gift card and more.
 
Saturday, October 17
The Saturday VIP event will feature exclusive beer tastings and BBQ from 12:30-2 p.m. This ticket is all inclusive for Saturday's events and guests receive express entry into the grand tasting. Additional details will be released in the coming weeks.
 
From 2-6 p.m., the Village will transform into a taster’s paradise with tents and nearly 200 domestic and international beers from more than 40 on-site craft brewers. New craft beers and different selections from past years will be featured at the Grand Beer Tasting. A sample of the brewing companies featured at this year’s festival includes: Idyll Hounds, Grayton Beer Company, New Belgium, Oyster City Brewing Company, Back Forty, Sea Dog Brewing Company, Shipyard Brewing Company, SweetWater, Abita, Sierra Nevada and many more. Brewery representatives will be available to discuss the different types of lagers and ales, teaching about the variety of styles. 
 
The Modern Eldorados will provide live entertainment from 2-4 p.m. and The Owsley Brothers will perform 4-6 p.m.
 

 
Saturday’s Beer Tasting tickets are on sale for a reduced price of $25 per person until Oct. 17 and VIP tickets are on sale for $55. Tickets can be purchased the day of the event for $35 and special pricing for groups is also available. Tickets are also available for purchase at the Sandestin Welcome Center’s front desk. Guests are advised to purchase tickets early, for the event has sold out in past years. All ticketholders will be provided a Baytowne Wharf Beer Festival tasting glass for sampling.
