Get Down and Derby At The Market Shops May 5

The Junior League of the Emerald Coast (JLEC) is excited to announce The Down & Derby Fest, taking place at The Market Shops on May 5, 2018 in honor of the 144th running of the Kentucky Derby. Tickets are on sale now!
The festival will feature “Derby Fare” from local restaurants highlighting the Emerald Coast’s best savory cuisine, decadent desserts and luscious libations. The menu will offer everything from a mint julep to an authentic Kentucky Hot Brown.
The JLEC is proud to bring The Down & Derby Fest to The Market Shops for the first time. The event will be held from 4-7pm (VIP will open 30 minutes early at 3:30pm) and will showcase a live viewing of the Kentucky Derby at 5pm. Get lost in the infield with Mose Wilson & The Delta Twang as they serenade guests with their southern rock melodies.
Guests will have the opportunity to dress to impress in their Kentucky Derby attire to win prizes for Most Elegant Hat, Most Creative Hat, Best Fascinator, Biggest Hat, Most Colorful Hat, Best Bowtie, and Best Dressed “Colt and Filly”.
The festival will offer an extravagant VIP experience at Bijoux Destin where guests can enjoy complimentary valet parking by 30A Valet, a premium viewing area for the most exciting two minutes in sports, a private bourbon presentation by Timber Creek Distillery and each VIP guest will receive a commemorative 144th Derby glass in their swag bag.
Tickets are on sale now for $40 in advance and $50 the day of the event. A limited number of VIP tickets are available in advance for $100. Additional services charges and fees may apply.
