Full On Fishing! Fishing With Captain Larry

April 11, 2010 by Larry Pentel

Hoo Boy !! The cobia run is on full swing. We never know what kind of season we are going to have in advance but so far this one has been great ! I'm 'bout beat and wore down from riding the tower all day today so I'll just let the pictures show how we have done the past week--

Happy Anglers- they both fought this one for a while

Bottom fish a couple hours and then hit the beach !

No bottom fishing - full on cobia !

A rack of Cobia with a side of Spanish !

This angler was asking for the Ben Gay!

If all that isn't enough to keep you fishing we have had an added bonus the past few days- There is a HUGE school of Bull Redfish traveling up and down the beach in about 65 feet of water. They will come to the surface and feed for anywhere from 5 minutes to a couple hours at a time. If you pay attention while looking for a cobia you may be fortunate enough to get in on one of those once in a lifetime shows. When there are thousands of 20 to 50# Reds , all lit up, crashing the surface in crystal clear water it's hard to not get a little excited!!

All that splashing is big fish

The school is off a bit- the fish you see just followed the hooked ones to the boat.

And up they come again !

All lit up !!!

Get out there and get in on this action !! April only lasts so long --- Capt Larry Pentel
