6th Annual Baytowne Beer Fest On Tap Oct 18-19

The Baytowne Beer Festival is a favorite for us here on the coast - excellent beer and food in South Walton at Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin. With the boom of interest in craft beers, the 6th annual edition of the festival this October 18-19 will be more popular than ever.
The festival provides opportunities to discover and sample specialty beers from around the nation. The charming Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin will be the perfect backdrop for fun-in-the-sun during the traditionally beautiful month of October.
The Baytowne Beer Festival will feature a wide range of beers varying in strength and style. From light pale ales and rich dark stouts to a number of bottled and yet-to-be-released fall beers – beer aficionados and novices will be able to savor the best in beer selections.
Friday, October 18 Let the savory smells of barbeque tempt your palate. The kick-off for the Baytowne Wharf Beer Festival will be Marlin Grill’s “Beer From Around Here,” a beer walkabout and menu pairing for $35 per person the night of Friday, Oct. 18 at 6 p.m. Pair gourmet grilled meat with the finest local brews the Southeast has to offer. Delicacies include barbeque, gourmet grilled meat and decadent side dishes and sauces.
New This Year New this year will be a feature presentation Friday evening at the Village’s Events Plaza Stage by Julia Rutland, senior food editor of Coastal Living Magazine. Ms. Rutland will demonstrate easy and delicious recipes made with beer.
There will be many new craft beers, and different selections from past years at the Beer Tasting on Saturday, October 19.
Saturday, October 19 On Saturday, October 19 from 2-6 p.m., the Village of Baytowne Wharf will transform into a taster’s paradise with tents and nearly 200 beers from more than 40 breweries.
A sample of the brewing companies featured at this year’s festival includes: Fat Tire Amber Ale, Ranger IPA, Shipyard, Pensacola Bay, Back 40 Beer Company and many more.
Brewery representatives will be available to discuss the different types of lagers and ales, teaching about the variety of styles. All ticketholders will be provided a Baytowne Wharf Beer Festival tasting glass for sampling.
Denton Hatcher and the Soapbox Blues will provide entertainment from the Event Plaza at 2-6 p.m.
Saturday’s Beer Tasting tickets are on sale for a reduced price of $25 per person until Oct. 18. Tickets can be purchased the day of the event for $30. Special pricing for groups is available. Guests are advised to purchase tickets early, for the event has sold out in past years.
