30A Songwriters Festival & Sounds Like Summer Series Every Thursday at Watersound Town Center

The Sounds Like Summer Arts & Culture series at Watersound Town Center is scheduled for June 2 - August 18, including plays, music, movies and more - with three nights set to feature artists from the annual 30A Songwriters Festival.
Enjoy a different children’s play every month from The Seaside REP or movie nights featuring classic films and new family favorites. The 30A Songwriters Festival concert nights will feature nationally known artists like Shawn Mullins Trio and The Honeycutters. With ample parking, a covered pavilion, and even ceiling fans – the Pavilion at Watersound Town Center is quickly becoming South Walton’s destination for outdoor events.

Watersound Town Center is located at the entrance to the Watersound Origins community along US Highway 98. Designed to serve the community and surrounding areas, shoppers will quickly be able to shop at the planned Publix Supermarket or meet friends for dinner without ever leaving the neighborhood or picking up their car keys.
Trails and multi-use paths connect to medical offices, the Watersound Origins Crossings apartment community, a STEAM school learning campus, and the communities along Scenic Highway 30A. Outdoor sculpture installations, extensive landscaping, outdoor events, and music all are planned to enhance the experience and make visiting Watersound Town Center a unique experience.
The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA) is a Local Arts Agency that supports the arts through leadership, advocacy, funding and education. The vision of the CAA is to be the catalyst for Walton County’s growth as a destination for cultural and artistic excellence through which lives are enriched, economy is stimulated and community is strengthened.
The Cultural Arts Alliance envisions, develops, and promotes a range of cultural and art events and initiatives in Walton County each year, some have even garnered national attention. 30A Songwriters Festival, ArtsQuest Fine Arts Festival, Art Month South Walton, Valentine Tour of Homes, Flutterby Festival and their online Art in Demand program are all part of CAA efforts to promote the arts in South Walton. As part of its Art in Public Spaces initiative the CAA host the Under the Sea Fundraiser benefiting The Underwater Museum of Art (UMA), North America’s first underwater permanent sculpture exhibit.
Home of the CAA, The Bayou Arts Center is a venue for exhibits, classes, meetings and small events. Nestled among the long leaf pines on historic Hogtown Bayou, the Bayou Arts Center is a hidden gem and a peaceful destination for art, culture, heritage and nature. From summer programs for kids to Oil, Acrylic, Pottery, Fiber and Watercolor classes for adults, the CAA has a class for everyone. The Foster Gallery, located at Grand Boulevard in Miramar Beach, is an artist collective led by the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County that features at least a dozen artists on a seasonally rotating basis, along with special exhibits, including the annual CAA juried show, One Size Fits All, and invitationals throughout the year.
