The very popular true southern magazine Southern Living came to the 30-A Radio studio last week. Manager Leslie Kolovich received a phone call from SL writer Joe Rada stating he has been vacationing in Grayton Beach for years and came across our little radio station by reading an article in the Thirty A Review Magazine, and wanted to do a feature article on it. A meeting was set up last week at the studio with Joe to interview Leslie, Danny Burns (operations manager) and Anita Powell (DJ). He then came back the next day to sit in on the radio broadcast students at the Seaside Neighborhood School live show. Joe stayed for over two hours, snapped a few photos and took lots of notes. He said, "it takes a long time for articles to come out in the magazine", but assured us it will. He is scheduling the Southern Living Photographer to come back to the studio in September when the kids are back in school. The radio management is thrilled and honored to have such a respected magazine in the studio, and the opportunity to be a part of it. Stay tuned, we will let everyone know which issue it will be as Joe said, " it will be one to frame for the studio wall"!
