Tickets are now on sale for Health Gives Hope’s first annual WooHah Party, to be held at Grayton Beer Company from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Monday, October 3.
“WooHah” means “water” in Amharic, the national language of Ethiopia. Health Gives Hope, together with local board member Lexie Senior, is trying to raise money for a spring water supply system for the remote mountain village of Bora, in Southern Ethiopia. Bora’s water is not safe for drinking and is the source of many waterbourne illnesses and even death in the region.
The mountain-top village is made up of five surrounding communities and the system will serve approximately 10,000 people. Health Gives Hope has already built a medical clinic to support the area and travels twice yearly on medical mission trips.
Enjoy an evening of great food catered by 98 Bar-B-Que and music by a local favorite, Ike Bartley, on the saxophone! Original art by local artists and Ethiopian wares will be on sale.
Tickets are $50 or $65 at the door. Kids 12 and under - $10 or $15 at the door. Purchase tickets or donate online at: www.healthgiveshope30a.com. To learn more about Health Gives Hope, visit www.healthgiveshope.org, or contact Lexie at 720-560-1739.
