You are right, and I'm allergic to both types of dust mites. When I bought dust mite mattress cover and dust mite pillow covers, most of my allergy problems went away.

You are right, and I'm allergic to both types of dust mites. When I bought dust mite mattress cover and dust mite pillow covers, most of my allergy problems went away.

Anti-allergen mattress covers can be beneficial. It's highly recommended, however, that your mattress be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized BEFORE installing one of these covers. Otherwise, you're "incubating" all the allergens, bacteria, etc.

Allergic to mites or their poop?

It's the dustmite excrement or "poop" that causes the allergy symptoms.

The mites themselves are harmless....just kind of uncomforting knowing that they're there.
